Custom Folders are not yet available in the new EBSCO interface. If you use the MyEBSCO folders and would like to keep them for the new interface, please follow the instructions below to switch your custom folders over to the new Projects. Please note that the process of moving your folders should be started on or before January 6, 2025 to avoid any issues with your custom folders.

Before or on January 6, 2025
- Open the EBSCOhost platform.
- Sign into your MyEBSCO account by selecting "Sign In" in the upper banner. This will open the login window, where you will enter your personal MyEBSCO account login credentials.
- Once signed in, open the Folders menu by selecting "Folder" from the upper banner.
- Locate the custom folder you would like to keep. You will need to complete the following steps for each media type (articles, ebooks, images, etc.) that are associated with the folder.
- Open the link for the media type in that folder. You should now see a list of all of your saved items of that media type.
- At the top of the list, you should see an option to select/deselect all. Use this to select all of your items.
- Use the "Copy to" button, and then select My Folder. This will save the article to your account.
- If you have many custom folders you wish to save to the new platform, you may wish to export lists of which items belong to specific folders. You can do this by selecting all of the items, and then using the "Save as File" option on the left.
- Then, select the "Save as CSV" option and press "Save" to save the selected items as a spreadsheet, which you can then open in Excel or another spreadsheet editor.
- Repeat these steps for each of the custom folders you would like to move to the new platform.

On or after January 7, 2025
Once the new EBSCOhost interface is available, you will need to go into your MyEBSCO account and organize the articles you just saved to your account. The steps to do this are shown below.
- Sign into MyEBSCO.
- Once signed in, use the menu on the left side of the page and select Projects under My dashboard.
- Use the New Project icon on the upper right of the Projects page to create a new project.
- Under project name, you can enter your folder name or project title. Press Create.
- Now, use the menu on the left side of the page and select Saved under My dashboard.
- You should see a list of all of the articles you copied into "My Folder" in the old interface. Find an article you wish to add to the project you just created. Use the three dots to the right of the item to see the different tools available, and then select "Add to project".
- In the subsequent dialog, use the drop down option to select the appropriate project. If you forgot to add the project you need in step 3, you can add a new project in this menu.
- Once selected, press "Add now" to add the item to your project. Repeat for all of the items you would like to organize.
- Now you should be able to open the project in the Projects menu and view all of the items you just added.

What happens if you miss the deadline?
We understand that you won't have a lot of time to save your folders, and that you may have missed the window to move your custom folders in the Classic interface. Starting in April 2025, EBSCO will be offering a tool to retrieve your folders from the Classic interface. If you miss the deadline, you may lose access to your custom folders for the interim period between the switch to the new interface and the launch of the retrieval tool.
Once available, this feature will appear in the Projects area of your personal MyEBSCO dashboard, where you will be able to request the data be copied to your new account. Since this feature will not be available for a significant period, we recommend moving your folders before January 6, 2025 to avoid any disruption to your access to custom folder data.
