The new interface includes a new look for the PDF, Online Full Text, and EPUB readers. In addition, a few new tools have been made available.
Tools can be accessed in the upper banner, on the right:
Save allows you to save an article to the "Saved" section of the platform. This does not save across sessions, unless you are signed into a MyEBSCO account.
Cite allows you to generate a citation for the item being viewed. Offered in a variety of different styles, these citations utilize the information associated with the article to create a citation. We recommend checking any generated citation for correctness and style before use.
This function is only available while signed into MyEBSCO, but the icon will appear on all versions of the viewer.
Share allows you to export the article or citation for an article to Google Drive, One Drive, email, or create a persistent link to the article. If you want to share an article with someone unaffiliated with Norwich, we recommend using the Create Link option.
This function allows you to download a copy of the item you are viewing. Some eBooks and journals have download restrictions, and this icon will disappear or have limits listed in the dialog.
This function allows you to print a copy of the item you are viewing. Some eBooks and journals have printing restrictions, and this icon may disappear or impose restrictions on how much you are able to print.
Translation is available in multiple languages and can be used with Online full text articles. The library cannot guarantee the accuracy of these translations.
Available on eBook and Online Full Text, this tool lets you navigate between chapters or sections of a book.
Text-to-speech, sometimes referred to as Narration, is available for Journals and Articles, and will be introduced for eBooks sometime next year. This feature is computer generated and may mispronounce words in other languages, are unique to a field, or are not included in its wordbank.
While the first three tools are available for all publications, downloading and printing may be restricted on eBooks. Additionally, translation, table of contents, and narration are only available for certain articles or publications on the platform.
We are aware that some articles display a non-functional "Search" tool option. If you need to search within the full text of an article, we recommend using your browser's Find In Page function. This is typically ctrl+F on Windows and Linux systems, and cmd (⌘)+F on Mac systems.
