Computers and Printers

Thin client computers in the library provide access the University's Virtual Lab and are networked to a nearby printer. Computers require an NU network username and password.

1st Floor/Lobby

  • Seven computers and a printer next to the Library Services Desk

Mezzanine

  • 16 computers and a printer in the southeast corner
  • 1 computer attached to our digital microfilm scanner in the southwest corner

2nd Floor

  • Eight computers and a printer in the northwest corner

Wireless Internet Access

High-speed wireless internet access is available throughout the building, including a guest network for unaffiliated users.

Wireless Printing

Use Mobility Print for Windows to print from your Windows laptop when connected to the Norwich wireless network. Network printers also support AirPrint for Mac and iOS devices.

Scanning

Copy/Scanning station

A Konica Minolta bizhub 4752 document scanner/copier is available on the west side of the Mezzanine.

 

Microform scanner

A digital microform scanner is available next to the microfilm cabinets in the southwest corner on the Mezzanine.

Need to borrow an HDMI cable or digital adapter?

Items available include:

  • PC chargers
  • HDMI cables & adapters

Loan Period & Renewals

  • The loan period for most items is four hours.
  • Renewals are allowed.

Usage Guidelines

  • Users are responsible for equipment checked out to them until it is checked back in.
  • Items must be returned to the Library Services Desk.
  • Do not place any items in the library drop box.
  • Equipment should be returned in the same condition as it was received.
  • Notify library staff of any loss, damage or defect of an item.

Fees

  • Equipment checkout is a free service, but is subject to replacement charges.
  • If an item is not returned within two weeks, it will be declared lost and a replacement fee will be charged to the borrower.
  • If an item is subsequently found and returned, the replacement will be forgiven.
  • If an item is lost, an exact replacement is acceptable.
