Key Library Services for Faculty

How Can Your Liaison Librarian Help You?

Hello! My name is Claire Veach and I am the Head of Library Research & Instruction at the Kreitzberg Library. I'm also the liaison librarian for all Social Sciences here at Norwich. I created this guide for you in order to provide direction on how to best take advantage of the Library's resources.

This guide includes information on the types of resources that our Library offers and also how faculty members like you can effectively integrate these resources into your courses - both online in NUoodle and in person.

Here are a few of the ways that I can assist you:

  • Providing in-class information literacy instruction sessions and workshops (here is a short list of common topics that I teach)
  • Creating online guides, videos, or tutorials about Library resources or information literacy concepts that relate to your course's learning outcomes
  • Collaborating with you to create assignments (graded or ungraded) grounded in key information literacy concepts
  • Hosting individual research consultations for your students
  • Understanding the most efficient ways to navigate our Library's databases or other electronic resources

If you're interested in utilizing any of the above services or if you have questions about our resources, please don't hesitate to reach out to me for assistance!

I can be reached Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at (802) 485-2168 or cveach@norwich.edu. I hope to hear from you soon!
