There are two primary ebook providers used by the library. Because of how ebooks products are licensed, we encourage their use via the library in only the most sustainable ways.
ProQuest Ebook Central and eBooks on EBSCOhost contain over 500,000 ebooks combined in total on a variety of subjects and are a great option for integrating book chapters into course readings. Using ebooks as required course textbooks is not encouraged, however, unless the library owns a perpetual license to the content since most library ebooks are available through dynamic subscription packages that are constantly updated. It is easier to replace a chapter reading than a textbook an entire course is based around! Ask your librarian if you have any questions about using ebooks for course readings.
