Frequently Asked Questions

What's the best way for me to get help?

Are you having trouble accessing the library databases or other technical problems?

Try the 24x7 Help Center search box to the right. If nothing there helps with your problem, contact us and please provide as much information as possible about your problem (i.e. which database you were trying to access, what the error message was, what browser you use, etc.). These details will help us answer your question more quickly and effectively.

Are you having difficulties with your research? Not sure how to construct your search? Having trouble figuring out which databases to use?

Our team of reference librarians are more than happy to help you with your research.

  • Quick questions are well served by any of our options (chat, email or phone).
  • Email is the fastest way to get help if we are not online to chat.

There are also a number of guides and videos to help you along the way.

  • How do I start my research? - guidance on how to develop a research strategy and maximize your time.
  • Intro to Library Services & Resources - short overview of things like finding books and articles, as well as requesting materials.
  • Subject specific guides under How Do I.... on the Research Databases tab and other how-to's accompany some of our resources.

Do you need access to books or articles you cannot find online?

The Kreitzberg Library provides interlibrary loan for any articles not available online, and Book Request for books from the Library's circulating collection. Please consult the Request Materials page for more information and instructions.
