Hi everyone and welcome to the library research lesson for finding primary source materials. I’m Melissa, the Online Learning & Scholarship Librarian, and the purpose of this lesson is to discuss what primary sources are, their value to the historian, and different ways of locating them.
While you can find lots of primary sources on the web, the majority are them are located in physical archives and we’ll talk about how to access those archives.
There’s also links to several primary source digital collections available through the library and on the web.
So let’s get started!
